Sports are a great way to stay fit and to build a community of people who love doing the same thing. Sadly, sports are still perceived as quite heteronormative and homonegative in our day and age. This workshop will be an open and safe space to discuss what it means to be LGBTQ+ in sports and ways to participate in sport and how we as a community can go forward breaking these stigmas.

SafeR Sex (capital R) will cover the options available to you to ensure less risk of contracting sexually transmitted infections or (dun dun dun) pregnancy. But(t) this session will also go further into communication, empowerment and PLEASURE. We believe in having the kind of sex you want, including no sex at all thank you very much, and in being able to tell your partner/s what that is.
ACE-ing The Dating Game

ChemSex: Everything You Need to Know

Enhancing sex with drugs is a historic human behaviour. Modern drugs and modern technology make sex on drugs intense, quick, and supposedly simple. As the specific phenomenon of Chemsex is inherited by successive generations of gay men, we must educate ourselves as a community about the health risks of chems use. Knowledge is power. Dr Stephen Hatton will explore the effects (desirable and undesirable) of GHB/GBL, Mephedrone, and Methamphetamine and their role in gay sex culture. This talk is focused on non-judgemental harm reduction and offers practical advice on how to limit the negative health consequences of chemsex.

After a few introductory slides on both the speaker and the topic, we will have a discussion space to share experiences and learn from each other. This is a loosely closed space (self diagnosed people are welcome to attend!).
Intersectionality & Allyship in Disabled and Queer Communities

In this session you will gain insight into the intersectionality of queer and disabled identities. This is a safe space for all to learn how to be a better ally to peers who have disabilities. Those who attend this workshop will take away better understanding of language and disability as well as some practical tips to ensure the environments we create are accessible and inclusive of students with disabilities.
Chems & Chemsex: Harm Reduction: The Cycle of Addiction

An exploration and discussion of the ChemSex scene. An open, honest and realistic look at the relationship between sexual activity and chem-use, sexual health, safer sex, harm reduction, sexual performance, sober sex and the cycle of addiction/abuse.
STIs: It Burns When I Pee

Having sex is fun and should be enjoyed. STI’s are a small downside to having sex. They are common and a bit uncomfortable. But knowing the symptoms of the most common infections and how you can reduce your risk of catching them takes the sting out things. Working at Europe’s biggest and gayest sexual health clinic, 56 Dean Street in Soho, London, Dr Stephen Hatton diagnosed and cured hundreds of STIs. This talk will be your one stop shop for everything you didn’t know about STI’s. From Gonorrhoea to Monkeypox, this talk is not to be missed.
